Home > Honey Bee Die-off

Just imagine the following situation:

You keep animals. You look after your animals to the best of your knowledge and belief.
One day, you discover that your animals are gone. You rack your brain and after due consideration you come to the conclusion that you really have not changed anything.
Then you consult with the experts who will basically tell you that you are too stupid to keep your animals appropriately.
Afterwards, you ask your colleagues and neighbours and to your surprise you find out that your colleagues are having the same problem. After due consideration and investigation it turns out that the sweet animals found their food on meadows and cultivations that had been treated with a nerve poison. Even the producer considers this agent to be poisonous which is meant to kill. However, at the same time, the producer claims that the agent is of no danger to animals even though animals die from it. The producer adds that in view of the kind of application, there is no need to investigate whether the agent is actually dangerous for animals. The producer also explains that the agent cannot not be detected in the soil or in the ground water – just as well. But the degradation products which are much more poisonous because they are carcinogenic...

This is where the thinking starts. You ask yourself: when is a substance dangerous for animals? This is where it gets difficult. According to the Law - let’s call it plant protection law just for the fun of it – a substance is dangerous for your animals when more than 50 % of the animals which have been in contact with the substance die from it. Damages caused to young animals are not taken into consideration. And by the way, other, related animals – which can be rare, endangered animals – have to fend for themselves. You don’t believe it? We, the beekeepers, don’t believe it either – but this is exactly what is happening to our bees!!! On the following pages, you can find out how.
Beekeepers and conservationists are hereby asking for your support – protest with us against the increasing environmental contamination caused by inconsiderate agricultural companies – incidentally the same which are trying to palm us off on genfood.
